The comparison between new and old standard for glow wire tester（3）
Under new standard IEC60695-2-10:2013 for glow wire tester , the requirement for silver foil test is more strict than the old standard .
During silver fol testing , as per old standard, silver melting temperature is 960 d+/-15 degrees , which is easy to reach with previous wire diameter 0.5mm thermocouple and glow wire loop ,but after the implementation of new standards, 960+/-10 degree melting temperature is required , it is not so easy as before when doing same test , which is much related to the size coordination between thermocouple and glow wire loop , the metal content & anneal test of glow wire loop , and the purity of silver foil .
The glow wire loop , which is mounted in glow wire tester ZLT-GTR manufactured by ZHILITONG Electromechanical Co. Ltd , is to drill 1mm diameter hole by laser so as to better match with the thermocouple, also annealed for a total of at least 10 hours by being subjected to current of at least 120 A . More than 999% purity of silver foil is provide when delivery.
