How to do impact testing for lamp used in poor condition?

According to the standard of IEC60598, lamp fixtures should have enough mechanical strength under poor condition , and can not be toppled over in the case expected during normal use . Also the fixing device jointed to support stand of lamp should have sufficient mechanical strength.

The mechanical strength of this kind of lamps don’t apply to impact testing with spring impact hammer tester, but with impacts which are produced by dropping a steel sphere 50 mm diameter weighing 0.51 kg from a height H (1.3 m) , to produce an impact energy of 6.5 N.m. Usually impact point is on the weakest point of exposed surfaces , separate impact.testing should be done by 3 times for each one of 3 specimens ,

These impact test can be completed through dropping steel ball by hand ,or by vertical impact test equipment .
