The glow wire test for switch for household and similar fixed -electrical installation
Based on IEC60669 clause 24.1.1, the glow wire tester is performed according to IEC 60695-2-1 under following condition:
For parts of insulating material not necessary to retain current carry parts and parts of the earth circuit in position ,even though they are in contact with them, by the test at a temperature of 650
The switch is regarded as having passed glow wire test if :
-There is not visible flame and sustained glowing
-Flame and glowing at the switch extinguishing within 30 s after removal of the glow wire .-There shall be no ignition of the wrapping tissue or scorching of the board
The glow wire tester ZLT-GTR manufactured by Zhilitong Electromechanical Co., Ltd, can implement glow wire test at a temperature of 550°C, 650°C, 750°C and 850°C.
