This device is for testing the resistance to torque of cord anchorages at electrical appliances provided with non-detachable flexible cords with a diameter up to 10 mm.

According to IEC61058-2-1 clause 12.3.107 and figure 104,immediately after pulling test,the cord is subjected for 1 min to a torque of:

-0,15 Nm for cords having a nominal cross-sectional area of up to and including 0,75 mm²;

-0,25 Nm for cords having a nominal cross-sectional area of 1 mm² and 1,5 mm².

The torque is applied as near as possible to the switch.

Standard Outfit:

1 hollow shaft, with drill chuck, rope wheel and crank handle,

1 idler pulley, radius 0,05 m,

1 set of load weights 3 N and 5 N to produce the torques 0,15 N.m and 0,25 N.m
